Hired by the Michigan Humane society in 1995, Bonnie had the opportunity to work with animals in various positions including adoption counselor and shelter manager.  In 2001, she worked for the Michigan Humane Society’s behavior and training department, the Peteducation Center, until it closed in 2008.  There she conducted animal handling and stress reduction seminars for MHS staff and volunteers.  Managing a team of volunteers, she ran the Pet Education Center’s Behavior Help Line.  Bonnie taught various obedience classes, a specialized class just for small dogs, private lessons, and behavior consultations for problem behavior in dogs.

Bonnie has been training at Canine College since 2008 and teaches basic to advanced obedience classes and one night seminars.  In addition, she offers in-home training and assists with taking calls for the Michigan Humane Society’s behavior helpline.  Bonnie enjoys spending time with her family including her dog, Ginger and three cats.

Kari has a degree in Education and has taken many classes and seminars on animal behavior through the zoo and humane society, including an APDT conference. She enjoys doing charity events and agility work with her collie mix, Riley.

Deb Gregory

Deb Gregory

Deb Gregory has been training dogs for close to 10 years.  She started with the Michigan Humane Society’s Pet Education Center, where she met Bonnie, and was there until the Center closed in 2008.  While she was with the MHS she also trained the shelter dogs that were awaiting adoption to help give them skills that would make them more likely to be adopted.  In addition to training dogs, she has also been a foster home for dogs and cats.   Deb teaches beginning obedience classes, several different one night seminars, and also participates with the Summer Camp training program at Canine College.  She is the happy owner of two cats and two dogs, has participated in agility and flyball just for fun, and loves to camp with her dogs.  She enjoys working with shy/fearful dogs and is passionate about rescue programs.
