Admissions Specialist

Canine College is proud of our staff and takes great care to develop and keep our highly trained staff in a fun and safe work environment.  We operate as a true team – please note that his is not a temporary position,, this position is a unique opportunity and permanent position for the individual who loves and wants to work with dogs.

A vital part of our extreme customer service is our “Directors of First Impression” AKA our front desk administrative staff – Canine College Admission Specialists.  Our Admission Specialists are the first persons who greet our customers and their owners directly interacting with our four legged furry students and their owners with a warm smile, professional and welcoming demeanor.    Our Admissions Specialists have many responsibilities including answering telephones, making reservations, checking in and checking out daycare, boarding, grooming and training students.  These positive energy individuals know how to multi-task, have basic computers skills, have extreme customer service skills, work well in a team environment, can work under pressure and have professional telephone skills.  A love for dogs is required and past customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.

Playfield Coach

This position requires someone who has a great love of dogs, can lift 50 lbs, can stand for 5-6 hours, can work weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include manage carefully-matched groups of dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being.  This exciting position requires good customer service skills and knowledge of or ability to master canine body language and group dog dynamics. In this dog lover’s dream job, you will interact with groups of dogs, maintain the cleanliness of the playfield and learn or enhance your current knowledge of pack management. You will stay with your pack for the entire shift and assist putting them into their private dorm rooms (kennels) during breaks. You will document behaviors of individual dogs if/when incidents occur and discuss with your leadership and other pack coaches who may or may not be on the field with you or in an adjoining playfield. This position is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about dogs, interact and care with/for them.

Student Escort

Canine College is proud of our staff and take great care to develop and keep our highly trained staff in a fun and safe work environment.   We operate as a true team – please note that this is not a temporary position, this position is a unique opportunity and permanent position for the individual(s) who loves and wants to work with dogs.   This position is a great introduction to the doggy daycare environment.

A vital part of our extreme customer service at Canine College is caring for the dogs boarding with us, ensuring their owners do not wait in long lines after a hard and long day at work in our lobby and to be greeted with their furry student at the end of the day with professionalism, promptness and a smile. 

Retrieving the dog safely from the playfield or dorm room in an efficient and prompt manner will be the goal of this position.  This position may assist our Student Care Specialist with some additional responsibilities including cleaning dorm rooms, maintaining student laundry and bedding, washing dishes, setting up a new student for boarding, maintenance of the halls, Campus and dorm rooms.    Following are some of our requirements and partial job duties and benefits:

  • FT resources are eligible to participate in our Priority Health HSA Insurance Program
  • Discount on some services and products
  • May bring dogs who have passed admission tests to work with them for no charge (free daycare for eligible breeds)
  • Will learn or enhance current knowledge of pet first aid (dog)
  • Weekend and Holiday work required (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Must be able to walk/handle a 10 lb to 150 lb dog on a leash
  • Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours

Student Care Specialist

A vital part of our extreme customer service and Canine College is caring for the dogs boarding with us.  Student health, cleanliness of their dorm rooms and personal belongings, cleanliness of the Campus, and student well being are of the goals of this position.  Responsibilities include cleaning dorm rooms, helping in the Nibble and Kibble Cookery (kitchen), maintaining laundry and bedding, setting up a new student for boarding, recording student feeding directions and maintenance of the halls, Campus and dorm rooms as well as interacting with clients.    Following are some of our requirements and partial job duties and benefits:

  • FT resources are eligible to participate in our Group Health Insurance Program
  • FT resources are eligible to participate in our 401K Program after 1 year of employment
  • Discount on some services and products
  • May bring dogs who have passed admission tests to work with them for no charge (free daycare for eligible breeds)
